What's the story?
Network Ryde has been working hard to put together a Virtual Youth Club Programme to help fight lockdown boredom and blues whilst its youth cafe is closed. There'll be new challenges, games and workshops every day from Monday to Friday and it all kicked off this week with an Insta live press up challenge and an origami workshop.
The team have also sent out over 50 care packs to young people including mindfulness calendars and power of thought cards, Easter eggs and cake mixes and more, along with details of how to contact them if they need support along with information about other services which are there to help.
"We're aiming to have something for everyone aged 11-19 and have already had lots of grateful messages, posts and mentions via social media and our text messages service. But we want to get as many of you involved as possible, so please spread the word to siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, parents and carers. We also want to hear what virtual activities young people would like to see - so please send your ideas our way!"
