What's the story?
Over £2,000 has been raised in just a couple of weeks through the Ryde Coronavirus Response Appeal to raise funds to help community groups respond and survive throughout the coronovirus crisis. This means that the funds raised can now start to be given out, and the first round of applications for grants of up to £500 is now open until 12pm on Monday 27th April.
How can we apply for a grant?
Grants are being administered by Ryde Town Council, and more information along with the application form can be found on the #RydeUnite website. Queries about the grantmaking process can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org and stories about the first round of grantees will be published on the #RydeUnite pages.
"I'm delighted the fund is now open for applications so soon after the appeal was launched. The response has been phenomenal, but we need to keep fundraising to help as many community groups who are suffering from a loss of income during these difficult times as we can, so please keep sharing the message about the appeal".
Cllr Michael Lilley, Mayor of Ryde, IW Town Councillor - Ryde East
